The University of Rwanda in collaboration with IEEE and ACE-ESD organized a 2 days’ short course on Photo-Voltaic Technology from 29th to 30th November at Kigali conference & Exhibition Village (KC&EV). The course was attended by African center of excellence (ACE-ESD and ACE-IoT) PhD students, same staff & student from University of Rwanda and other from different private companies. A 2 day training workshop was organized by the center of excellence in Energy for Sustainable Development ACE-ESD) in collaboration with College Library getting training facilities from Swedish International Development Cooperation SIDA project.
The training started on Wednesday 8th and continued Thursday on 9th November 2017 in the KIST ii building on the 5th floor in the computer Laboratory.
the ACE-ESD humbly received a visit from Jianming WANG GEIDCO Deputy (Director of the Office in AddisAbaba) and the ACEESD was willing to join the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO)

In effort to support and develop priority areas to make Africa economically self sustainable, World Bank through the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MINECOFIN) has funded University of Rwanda (UR)-College of Science and Technology (CST) to establish an African Centre of Excellence in Energy for Sustainable Development (ACE-ESD).
It is a regional centre that is based in Rwanda and its mandate is to offer post-graduate training, organization of short professional courses and PhD in collaborative applied research in Energy for Sustainable Development.
