The second batch of 16 PhD students of ACE-ESD have presented their research proposal from 28th May to 1st June 2018.

Defense Committee was composed by local, regional and international professors (student’s supervisors), we were pleased to have also same of the professor through SKYPE as always, for them to follow the presentation of their students and give them comments.

ACE-ESD training on Organic Semiconducting Materials

Around 60 African from different institution (Public or Private institution) participated here in Kigali (university of Rwanda CST) on a training for 5 days organized by the African Centre of Excellence in Energy for Sustainable Development (ACE-ESD). The focus was to motivate Regional Entrepreneurs and Students to understand more about Organic Semiconducting Materials for Photovoltaic and Other Optoelectronic Applications: Synthesis and Structure-Property Relationships.

The 1st ACE-ESD Research Proposal Defense

17 of our 34 PhD students of the ACE-ESD have presented their research proposal on this 16th to 20th April/2018.

the ACE-ESD retreat for evaluation and planning

On this 3th -6th April 2018 the Africa Centre of Excellence in energy for sustainable development had a 3days retreat.

And the Main Objectives of this retreat were:

Katundu Imasiku, a student under the Center of Excellence in Energy or Sustainable Development, University of Rwanda published a manuscript paper titled: Policies Lost in Translation: Combating the Green House Gas Emission Merry-go-round for increased utilization of Renewable Energy Technologies at the 9th (IREC) International Renewable Energy Congress, March 20-22, 2018, Hammamet, Tunisia.
