Around 60 African from different institution (Public or Private institution) participated here in Kigali (university of Rwanda CST) on a training for 5 days organized by the African Centre of Excellence in Energy for Sustainable Development (ACE-ESD). The focus was to motivate Regional Entrepreneurs and Students to understand more about Organic Semiconducting Materials for Photovoltaic and Other Optoelectronic Applications: Synthesis and Structure-Property Relationships.

17 of our 34 PhD students of the ACE-ESD have presented their research proposal on this 16^th to 20^th April/2018.

On this 3^th -6^th April 2018 the Africa Centre of Excellence in energy for sustainable development had a 3days retreat.

And the Main Objectives of this retreat were:

Katundu Imasiku, a student under the Center of Excellence in Energy or Sustainable Development, University of Rwanda published a manuscript paper titled: Policies Lost in Translation: Combating the Green House Gas Emission Merry-go-round for increased utilization of Renewable Energy Technologies at the 9th (IREC) International Renewable Energy Congress, March 20-22, 2018, Hammamet, Tunisia.

The Centre of Energy (ACE-ESD) has received a visit from Daniel Zimmerle Senior Research Associate from ENERGY INSTTUTE COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY and the purpose of the visit was:

Asia Conference on Energy and Environment Engineering (ACEEE 2018) which will provide a highly competitive forum for reporting the latest developments in the research and application of Energy and Environment Engineering.
