a PhD student from the center of energy(ACE-ESD) participate the 9th IREC conference to present his paper

Katundu Imasiku, a student under the Center of Excellence in Energy or Sustainable Development, University of Rwanda published a manuscript paper titled: Policies Lost in Translation: Combating the Green House Gas Emission Merry-go-round for increased utilization of Renewable Energy Technologies at the 9th (IREC) International Renewable Energy Congress, March 20-22, 2018, Hammamet, Tunisia.

IEEE-PES President, Professor Frank Lambert

The Guest of Honor at the congress was the IEEE-PES President, Professor Frank Lambert. The occasion was also graced by the presence of Professor Dr-ing Sumer Sahin from Turkey; Professor Gluseppe Marco from Italy; Professor My Ali El Khakani from Canada as keynote speakers.

The total number of presented papers were 172 in the fields; Energy Storage, Management and Transmission; Hydrogen, Biomass and Other Sources; Smart Grid, Micro-grid and Sustainable Development; Solar Energy: Thermal Photovoltaic and PV/T and Wind Energy and Offshore systems.

The International Renewable Energy Congress (IREC) provides a forum for researchers, academicians, scientists and industrial professionals around the world on recent developments in the fields of renewable energy. The congress consists of keynotes, oral sessions and poster presentations. Considered as a catalyst for research works, the IREC publishes the best presented papers in partner journals.

Authors from academia as well as industry working within the scope of the congress subjects are invited to submit their papers. Submissions will be peer reviewed by our International Program Committee on the basis of full manuscripts. Acceptance will be based on quality, originality and relevance. Contributions should be original and not published elsewhere or submitted for publication during the review period.  

The selected Papers will be published in the IEEE Explorer digital library and Thomson Journals.
