
Dr. Maxime Binama is a professional researcher, and currently serves as Senior Lecturer in the department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering affiliated with the College of Science and Technology (CST) at the University of Rwanda. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering obtained from UR-CST (former Kigali Institute of Science and Technology), a Master of Science Degree in Fluid Mechanics from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in China, and a PhD of Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics from Harbin Institute of Technology in China. In the past years, Dr. Binama worked as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Lab of Fluid Machinery Control and Engineering, affiliated with the College of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering at Hohai University (2019-2021), and an Associate Professor of Fluid Mechanics in the College of Petroleum Engineering at Liaoning Petrochemical University, in China (2021-2022). His professional experience spans across a wide range of Mechanical and Energy Engineering projects in China and Rwanda, where his research interests are within the broad domain of conventional and renewable energy technologies, mainly focusing on hydropower, solar, and petroleum engineering. He has published on flow stability control in hydraulic systems, Design and operational optimization of renewable energy systems, and computational analysis of thermo-fluid dynamics within thermo-energy generation systems.
