ACEESD students field trip at Rwamagana Solar Power Plant
Friday 29th March 2019 around 45 Students and 7 Staff from University Of Rwanda At The African Center of Excellence in energy for Sustainable Development Visited the Rwamagana Solar Power Plant located near Agahozo Sharlom Youth Village in Rwamagana District.
The Field trip was organized by the ACEESD, The Center recognizes the fact that field trips and excursions are important components for a student’s development. This activity supplement and enrich classroom learning and encourage new interests amongst students, it also makes them more aware of community resources and helps them relate their educational experience to the outside world
“Mr. MUSHAGE Pascal MSc Students in Electrical Power System Said That this visit was beneficial for him because it was even his first time to see a solar power plant and now he can be able to compare result of Hydro and solar energy production and cost.”
This kind of visit lends not only knowledge that is academically restricted but gives them a practical exposure as well.
