Summary: Emission trading is one of the most significant topics in the field of energy and climate finance as it provides the opportunity to reduce the greenhouse gas emission and to promote low-carbon transition in the most effective way.

The European Union Emission Trading Scheme (EU ETS) remained to be the world's largest carbon market over decade, and its scale was exceeded by the China national carbon market recently.

The carbon market mechanism will be introduced, and its price behavior will be analyzed. Some prospects on international linked carbon markets will be provided as well.
